About
Versace, McQueen & ERDEM alum leads from London. His avant-garde designs, worn by Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt & Beyoncé. Famed for merging edgy leather with delicate lace.
From crafting showstopping runway pieces at Versace to pushing creative boundaries at Alexander McQueen and embracing romantic aesthetics at ERDEM, Omar Romanini's journey through fashion's most influential houses has been remarkable. Over many years, he's perfected his signature approach - transforming traditional leather jackets and dresses by combining rugged leather with classical lace through precise cutting techniques - creating designs that capture both sensuality and inner strength. This distinctive vision has attracted notable figures like Charlize Theron, Emily Blunt, and Beyoncé.
In his sun-drenched London studio, Romanini's creative process reveals his dedication to craftsmanship. He captures fleeting moments of inspiration in distinctive sketches, then moves between his drawing desk and mannequins, where he drapes and adjusts fabrics until each piece achieves his exacting standards. These intimate creative sessions, often accompanied by his dog, showcase his commitment to perfecting every detail that defines his work.
"The inspiration for this project originates from my homeland, Italy, and the Mediterranean women who have shaped my life—women who raised me, inspired me, and surrounded me," Romanini reflects. His creative journey led him to the 'Cupola' apartment in Sardinia, built by Antonioni for Monica Vitti during their secret relationship. "Though now abandoned, I was fortunate to visit this building, and found it deeply inspiring. The love story, the architecture, the colors, and the textures all resonated with me profoundly." This influence appears in his latest collection through his signature blend of masculine, androgynous tailoring and feminine, sensual silhouettes, each piece telling a story of an Italian summer through his unique perspective.
