Jesper Borjesson, a Swedish designer, began his fashion journey at Central Saint Martins, where he specialized in menswear design. During his studies, he gained valuable experience through a Giorgio Armani design project scholarship. He then honed his skills with renowned brands like Cerruti and Balaclava in Paris and London. In 2011, Jesper served as the product design director at GANT, further solidifying his expertise in the fashion industry.
In 2014, Jesper founded ARKET, a brand that embodies the essence of Nordic minimalism. His designs are celebrated for their clean cuts, high-quality materials, and timeless style, focusing on practical and durable wardrobe staples. Jesper’s philosophy revolves around simplicity and functionality, offering fewer but more classic and versatile pieces. His commitment to sustainable fashion is evident in his extensive research and use of eco-friendly fabrics.
Since 2019, Jesper has been a key design consultant for Victoria Beckham and the lead designer for the Victoria Beckham x Reebok collaboration line, as well as a consultant for CDLP. His collaboration with Fabrique draws inspiration from 90s icons like Björk, PJ Harvey, and Shirley Manson. By blending feminine silhouettes into menswear, Jesper creates unique pieces with rich textures and intricate craftsmanship, showcasing his ability to innovate and adapt in a rapidly evolving industry.
