Georgia Taylor
London, UK
With Fabrique since 2023
Ex-Sonia Rykiel, Givenchy, Prada and RCA alum. Led innovative knitwear creations in top fashion houses.
Georgia Taylor's journey in the fashion world began in France. With a Master's degree in Womenswear Knitwear from the Royal College of Art and an Honors Bachelor's degree in Knitwear Textile Design from Chelsea College of Arts, she quickly established herself as a talented designer. In 2001, she joined the renowned Parisian brand Sonia Rykiel, where she was the lead knitwear designer. Her work ranged from fine gauge (18gg) to hand-knitted pieces, collaborating closely with factories in Italy and the Far East to bring unique and high-quality knitwear to the brand.
In 2004, Georgia moved to Givenchy as a womenswear knitwear designer. There, she developed knitwear for four ready-to-wear and two haute couture collections annually, working with factories and artisans in Italy, the Far East, Paris, and the UK. By 2006, she had joined the ranks of the fashion giant Prada in Milan, designing knitwear and cotton knits for their womenswear line. Her designs consistently met market demands while maintaining Prada's high-end image.
Georgia’s collaboration with Fabrique draws inspiration from nature. Her latest collection captures a light, delicate femininity, with knit textures flows around the body like petals. The yarns shimmer like morning dew on flowers and leaves, showcasing both form and playful elegance. Bringing fresh, vibrant touch to Fabrique.
