About
MBFW Berlin winner, Zalando finalist. Featured in VOGUE, ELLE. Crafts sustainable luxe pieces in European ateliers.
Born in northern Germany, Christina's keen eye for textiles was sharpened early on thanks to her father's work in the industry. After graduating from the University of Cologne and honing her skills in the fashion sector, she teamed up with her brother Sebastian Steinhoff to launch Fassbender in 2017.
Based in Hamburg, the brand has quickly climbed the ranks. Fassbender clinched the MBFW design award at Berlin Fashion Week in 2021 and reached the finals of the Zalando Sustainability Award in 2022. Christina's designs marry precise tailoring with ease and versatility, crafting pieces that work from dawn jogs to dusk cocktails. She's hands-on in her approach, preferring to collaborate with small European workshops over large manufacturers to source eco-friendly leathers and silks.
Fassbender's fresh take on fashion has caught the eye of heavy-hitters like Vogue, Elle, and L'Officiel. Christina envisions her brand for the woman who's elegant yet strong, creative and smart, lively and fashionable, all while staying true to her personal style. She's crafting clothes for the independent woman who juggles family, friends, and career with flair. Christina's commitment to quality and sustainability is clearly paying off, cementing Fassbender's spot among the rising stars of international fashion.
