Our leather story starts with grade and grain. Across the collections, we work with top-grain leather, full-grain leather, nappa, suede, nubuck, and other refined finishes chosen for their denser fiber structure, stronger grain layer, and the way they wear over time. Some are used for sharper structure, some for a softer matte surface, and some for the depth and patina they develop with use. Selected leathers also come from LWG Gold-rated manufacturers with ISO 14001-certified environmental management systems.
At Fabrique, craftsmanship is not just about finish, it is built into the way the bag works. Clean stitching, precise construction, considered compartments, and closures integrated into the silhouette all help each handcrafted leather bag move through daily use with more ease and durability. The same attention given to the outside is carried through to the inside, so structure, storage, and function feel as resolved as the design itself.
Our hardware is made to bring together shine, strength, and staying power. 18K gold electroplating gives it a richer tone, while a 304 stainless steel base adds sharper definition and better resistance to wear and corrosion. On selected styles, matte-gold finishes soften the shine into a more vintage glow, while making small scratches less noticeable over time. From custom locks to signature studs and metal accents, these details give the bag its final layer of polish and protection.
