Inspiration

Lou Menais looks to the lasting muses of French style: Jane Birkin, and Jane Fonda. The collection channels the French Riviera at the height of summer—sunlit, cinematic, and steeped in a kind of classic Paris elegance that is felt more than explained. Inspired by vintage pieces found in the Marais, she translates that mood through sculpted feminine tailoring and silk and cotton fabrics chosen for their natural, easy feel, offering a fresh take on effortless chic.

Background
Former Rouje lead designer and Marc Jacobs designer, redefining effortless French style through polished tailoring, Paris ease, and a modern city wardrobe
Lou Menais’s work carries the ease of a chance meeting in the Marais—elegant, lively, and distinctly Parisian. A Paris-born designer, she previously held roles at Marc Jacobs and later served as Chief Designer at Rouje. From silk printed dresses to clean wool coats, her designs helped redefine retro yet effortless French style for the contemporary city wardrobe.
Beyond the clothes, Lou was also deeply involved in the artistic direction of each season, shaping a Paris story with clarity and charm. That point of view comes through clearly in her own words: “My aesthetic fantasy is my friends. They are beautiful and kind. They reflect all the reasons I love Paris, which is why it will always be my favorite place in the world.” It’s a telling line—her version of French style feels personal, warm, and closely tied to everyday Paris life.
